Star in the Making

Stars in Colorado aren’t too hard to find. Whether you’re looking for Hollywood A-listers, professional athletes or even the Big Dipper on a cloudless mile high night. There is however one elusive Star, and with very few in the US, you might be wondering which Star that is. Well, a good place to start looking is the Wreck Room Underground in Westminster, Colorado. The Wreck Room Underground is a state of the art billiards hall with a combined 22 diamond tables varying in length from seven to nine feet.

There is one table in particular that draws certain attention and it is located front and center as soon as you walk through the front doors. Sort of a North Star in the midnight sky shining brighter than any other. Owner, Rob Randolph has been working tirelessly to bring his vision and passion of snooker to the Centennial State and has stopped short of nothing, in order to achieve this. After overcoming a fleet of obstacles in order to make this happen, a brand new Star (Xing Pai) table sits proudly at the front of the club.

Snooker is coming to Colorado, and it’s been a long time in the making. As the sport isn’t even in its infancy, more like the third trimester, I am sure the popularity will only grow. With the potential for leagues, qualifiers, invitationals and perhaps one day even regional and national tournaments, the pathway for snooker growth in Colorado is here, and that’s a positive step in the right direction.
